The Process in a Nutshell…
Getting your things in order is a process.
It just starts with a small thought: “I want a change”.
Where it goes from there is only up to you.
Maybe it goes a little something like this…
I want to make a change.
I choose to sort through my personal belongings.
I sense that the time is right to begin.
I pick a method of tidying that motivates me.
I understand that this is not going to be easy, but that I will find many benefits as I go along.
I commit myself to give the decluttering process a real solid try.
I feel motivated.
I decide if I want to do it alone, or with support.
I envision how I want my space to look and what I want my life to be like when I’m finished it all.
I feel that my space and my life are going to improve very soon.
I go through my belongings, using my chosen method of tidying.
I make every decision on which items to keep and discard.
I get to know myself as I make big and small decisions that are right for me.
I feel an entire range of emotions as I tidy. Ooph! But I remember that’s normal and expected.
I take all the time I need.
I refer to my vision of my ideal life for inspiration and motivation.
I grow and learn. Each item I choose to let go of holds a potential lesson for me.
I discard or donate items with an attitude of gratitude.
I put away each item I keep in a way that makes sense to me.
I display things that mean a lot to me in a way that I can appreciate them.
I find myself starting to live that life I’d envisioned before I started.
I enjoy my accomplishment!
